The
Ferrari-Porsche Challenge:Sponsored for the 6th year by Kumho Tyres Stomach-churning rivalry to be the best, ensures 50,000+ attendances on Europe's most famous tracks. Throughout 1999, Monza, Nurburgring, Hockenheim, Spa Francorchamps, Zandvoort, Magnycours and Castle Donington, rocked again to the strains of supercar noise and white hot action, in front of passionate crowds and TV cameras.
The Challenge has proved so successful and become so professionally organised, that it now has FIA status, alongside the lSRS supercars, official recognition of the highest order.
THE TRACK TREMBLES AT THE POWER BElNG CREATED Why do Kumho invest so much time, energy and money in sports car racing?
Well, apart from the prestige and credibility that it bestows, it
also allows Kumho to learn valuable lessons from tortuous races, which
are turned into practical safety and performance benefits for the
road user. Next time you drive off in your Kumho-tyred car, remember
what's behind the name and you'll drive with extra confidence. The mouth-watering prospect of F40s eyeball to eyeball with GT2 Porsches leaves nothing to the imagination and is a prospect to savour. No wonder the Kumho Ferrari-Porsche Challenge is the benchmark for
all races and the jewel in Kumho's crown. |
